Family Medicine - Geriatrics Physician (Faculty)

Seeking a BC/BE Family Physician or Internal Medicine Physician with additional qualifications in Geriatrics for a Fixed-term or Tenure track faculty position at the rank/title of Clinical Assistant Professor level or higher. Strong emphasis on teaching, mentoring, advising, and supervision of residents, fellows, medical students, and other learners in Geriatrics. Opportunities exist to develop administrative, leadership, and scholarship skills. Clinical responsibilities include an ambulatory geriatric clinic, the Family Medicine Center, ECU Health Medical Center and one continuing care retirement community with skilled care beds.

Minimum Education/Experience: Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine (American Board of Medical Specialties) NC Medical License or license eligible Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Geriatrics or CAQ Eligible Collaborative (including interdepartmental) relationship building and maintenance skills, Refined analytical and critical thinking skills, Strong written and verbal communication skills. MD or DO from an appropriately accredited institution and conferred by the time of hire, or completed foreign medical education accepted and recognized for ECFMG Certification.
