Lead Service Technician

In this way, we help our clients to reduce energy costs, ensure 100% up-time and optimize their operational competitiveness Lead Field Technician The Lead Field Technician will be the head of a critical team ensuring that key mechanical equipment is operating correctly in a hyperscale data center environment. This team will install, design and test critical cooling equipment. They will direct and support their team to ensure that high company standards are upheld, and work is completed safely and efficiently. They will be the key on-site representative of the company and will work with outside stakeholders to ensure project success. The best fit for this role will be an individual who is highly motivated and technically strong. They must excel at communication and be a strong leader. Field Technician Roles and Responsibilities Lead Technical Team of 4-5 People Attend Customer Meetings as Primary Company Representative Allocate Team Resources to Ensure Project Success Assist with Hiring and Development for This and Similar Teams Be the Subject Matter Expert on the Product Job Qualifications Desired qualifications include: 3-5 years of industry experience with mechanical systems including heat exchangers, air handlers, pumps, fans, valves and controls instrumentation. 1-2 years of experience as a team lead with the ability to manage, support and educate small teams of 4-5 people Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills Strong documentation and reporting skills Technical degrees/certifications in relevant fields (STEM, MEP, SCADA) Experience commissioning HVAC, cooling, or critical infrastructure systems Experience with chilled water, condenser water, and refrigerant-based cooling systems Experience with PLCs, controls, and automation systems Experience performing functional testing, start-up, and commissioning activities Willingness to travel is required (No more than 25%) Understanding of data center cooling infrastructure (preferred) Ideal Backgrounds Candidates with experience in: Mission critical facilities Controls and automation Power generation or utility systems Mechanical/electrical field service engineering Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.
