Accounts Receivable Specialist

Job Overview:

Contributes to the operational integrity of Johnstone Supply through timely and accurate processing of customer payments and vendor invoices, collections, management of customer master files and other administrative, operational, and clerical functions. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Job Title : Accounts Receivable Specialist

Reports to: Lead Accounts Receivable Specialist

Location: Easton

Pay: $20-$22/hr, plus monthly gainshare bonus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Full Time Monday-Friday 8-4:30, in-office position

Position Summary: The Accounts Receivable Specialist is a key member of the AR Team responsible for the timely and accurate processing of customer payments, customer relations, and a wide range of administrative tasks.

General Responsibilities:

• Process and apply customer payments received through various channels (e.g., mail, phoned in, email, online payments, bank transfers) to the correct customer accounts.
• Research and resolve discrepancies with payments received, including contacting customers for clarification.
• Maintain positive customer relationships while following up on past due invoices and assisting with timely account resolution.
• Create and update customer account information in the ERP system.
• Prepare and send out customer invoices and statements.
• Answer incoming calls.
• Open and distribute mail.
• Assist customers with basic inquiries or requests.
• Greet guests/customers.
• Document management.
• Maintaining a professional and organized work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounts Receivable Lead.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting.

Preferred:

• College degree in a relevant field (e.g. business).
• Direct experience in HVACR or similar industry.
