HVAC Technician

Job Description Summary The Industrial HVAC Technician will ensure the safe and efficient operation of site chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC systems. Responsibilities Perform routine inspections, predictive maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems and controls. Develop and implement preventative maintenance plans to minimize downtime and ensure the reliability of HVAC equipment. Schedule and conduct maintenance activities according to established protocols. Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, malfunctions, and failures in HVAC systems. Analyze and resolve complex problems efficiently and safely. Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations while working with energized equipment, including NFPA 70E requirements. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs, including EPA records for refrigerant leaks and disposals. Be on-call for emergency HVAC repairs and respond promptly to minimize downtime and safety risks. Identify appropriate tools and materials for repair tasks. Follow health and safety standards and comply with building codes. Work safely at heights in scissor lifts and boom lifts. Operate forklifts for material movement and unloading of deliveries. Order materials and parts for job execution. Use the CMMS work order system to process and complete job assignments and track ordering of parts and materials. Access the Building Management System to review HVAC systems and make changes when needed. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements EPA Refrigerant Certification. AAS degree in Mechanical or Plant Utilities Technology, AOS degree in HVAC or Construction & Maintenance, military training in a related field, or journeyman credentials. Base pay range: $35.68 – $43.89 per hour, subject to experience, education, and skill set. Benefits The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
