Given heightened expectations from regulators and a goal to build a strong and consistent global control environment, Citi continues to enhance its business governance framework and has created the Enterprise Data group. Enterprise Data is a critical component of Citi's first line of defense for wholesale and counterparty credit risk management and works with Independent Risk teams to ensure best-in-class risk and controls, as well as client responsiveness. Key responsibilities of the group include credit analysis, documentation, risk identification, exposure monitoring and stress testing. Enterprise Data coordinates with credit management groups across institutional client businesses to ensure full alignment on business and regulatory goals, as well as consistency and best practices.

Accelerating progress on our data transformation is an imperative for Citi, and over the last several months, we have analyzed what we need to do to make this happen. We are convinced that consistently producing timely, accurate and complete data that we can confidently rely on to run our business is a team sport - one that requires groups to work together toward shared goals.

The goal of our data transformation is clear: to ensure we can generate accurate and complete information in a timely manner, and use that data to inform our business-as-usual operations and our risk analyses, whether for real-world needs or as part of our scenario planning and regulatory reporting. While that sounds straightforward, it's a meaningful undertaking to move away from siloed and complex processes, legacy systems, and activity-based metrics that have held us back in the past.

Responsibilities:

• Gathers operational data from various cross functional stakeholders to examine past business performance
• Identifies data patterns & trends, and provides insights to enhance business decision making capability in business planning, process improvement, solution assessment etc.
• Recommends actions for future developments & strategic business opportunities, as well as enhancements to operational policies
• May be involved in exploratory data analysis, confirmatory data analysis and/or qualitative analysis
• Translate data into consumer or customer behavioral insights to drive targeting and segmentation strategies, and communicate clearly and effectively to business partners and senior leaders all findings
• Continuously improve processes and strategies by exploring and evaluating new data sources, tools, and capabilities
• Work closely with internal and external business partners in building, implementing, tracking and improving decision strategies
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of experience
• This position requires excellent analytical and business strategy skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to present to business partners and/or leaders to gain approvals
• Project and process management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Experience with a prior focus in financial services analytics
• Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects at one time
• Self-starter who also has a demonstrated ability to work successfully in team environment and drive

Education:

• Bachelors/University degree or equivalent experience

• Knowledge of Financial markets structure and products, including over-the-counter derivatives, securities financing transactions, exchange-traded derivatives and cash trading.
• Understanding of how firms manage Credit and Market Risk for trading book activity
• Comfortable working with large data sets and able to demonstrate a firm understanding of logical data structures and analysis techniques
• Able to leverage tools such as Excel, Tableau, SQL and Python to perform data analysis
• Data tracing, Data mining, visualization, analysis – identifying patterns/trends, exploratory data analysis, root cause analysis, Machine learning & predictive analytics
• Experience in interacting across multiple teams globally and influencing diverse groups of stakeholders
• Strong sense of urgency and ability to manage multiple competing priorities while delivering results quickly and efficiently.
