MachinistSan Jose, CAAbout the RoleMuon seeks a Machinist (Junior level) to join our team. You'll own the machined parts the team depends on—embedded between engineering and the machine shop. Design reviews on Tuesday, dialing in fixturing on Wednesday, owning first-article inspection on Friday. Working with world-class senior-level engineering, scientists, and machinists you will be challenged to push your skills to the next level. You will be one of the points of contact for structure and tooling hardware as it moves from CAD to chips.This position is fully on-site at our San Jose office, five days per week.ResponsibilitiesProgram and operate CNC mills and lathes for flight componentsSit in engineering design and planning reviewsPlan fixturing, tooling, and inspectionOwn first-article and in-process QC for hardwareDocument via MES; write non-conformance tickets; maintain traceabilityQualificationsProgramming 3 axis CNC mills; CAM (Fusion 360, MasterCAM, or similar)Minimum of 1 year working in a machine shop or trade school trainingMust be able to lift 50 lbMust be ready to learn!Nice-to-Have SkillsProgramming 4 & 5 axis CNC mills; CAM (Fusion 360, MasterCAM, or similar)Haas controller experience & FanucU.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual (ITAR)Forklift experienceSalaryThe salary range for this role is $25 - $40 per hour, plus a competitive equity grant and comprehensive benefits package.
