The Lawn Care Worker plays a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic and health of residential and commercial outdoor spaces. Working as part of a small team, this role requires proficiency in operating various landscaping equipment and performing tasks such as mowing, edging, and plant care. The work environment includes a mix of residential properties, commercial sites, and other varied outdoor settings.
Responsibilities
- Mow lawns using gas-powered mowers and trimmers
- Edge and trim landscaped areas for clean boundaries
- Perform general landscaping including planting and pruning
- Operate heavy machinery such as skid steers efficiently and safely
- Remove debris and maintain clean work sites
- Care for plants to ensure healthy growth and appearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Entry-level experience in lawn care
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficient in operating landscaping equipment
- Physical stamina to handle manual tasks and outdoor work
- Strong time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
- Ability to work well within a small team environment
- Customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients
