POSITION OPENING
BUS DRIVER
Position Starts Immediately Upon Hire
Position Summary:
Join the Hemlock Public School District transportation team as a School Bus Driver, where youll play a key role in safely transporting our students to and from school each day. This is a part-time role offering a flexible daytime schedule, making it an excellent opportunity for retirees or anyone seeking supplemental income with a meaningful impact.
Required Qualifications:
- Possess and maintain a valid CDL license.
- Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
- Graduation from an accredited high school.
- 21 years of age or older.
- Alternative applicable qualifications may be considered.
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Capable of attaining certification through the Michigan School Bus Safety Education course.
- Will provide training for qualified candidates.
A successful candidate will be able to:
- Exceptional patience with school-age children.
- Good attendance record.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents to ensure a positive school climate.
Salary: As per negotiated district contract.
