Setting: Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF)
Location: Aurora, MO

We are seeking a compassionate and flexible PRN Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our rehabilitation team at Ascend at Aurora in Aurora, MO. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide skilled therapy services to improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs), safety, and overall functional performance.

This PRN position offers flexible scheduling and is ideal for clinicians seeking supplemental hours.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide skilled OT interventions including ADL training, upper extremity strengthening, coordination, balance, and cognitive retraining
• Perform functional mobility and transfer training
• Assess and recommend adaptive equipment and environmental modifications
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
• Collaborate with Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary team members
• Educate residents and caregivers on safety, home programs, and discharge planning
• Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and facility guidelines

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
• Current state OT license in good standing
• NBCOT certification required
• CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Ability to adapt to changing caseloads and schedules
