Essential duties and responsibilities include leading with a safety mindset, overseeing and developing warehouse associates, creating a cohesive organization, directing and supervising the work and productivity of associates, participating in building high-performing teams, leading and directing associates to achieve accurate orders, monitoring operational information, maintaining the physical condition and safety of warehouse and equipment, working with operations management team to identify sources of inventory shrink, regularly inspecting facility for safety hazards, ensuring master sanitation schedule and FSQA requirements are followed, effectively scheduling working shifts, and other duties assigned by manager.

Supervision includes direct union and/or non-union warehouse on-floor associates.

Relationships include internal warehouse leaders and coworkers, internal customers across departments, and external none.

Work environment includes normal warehouse environments as well as cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.

Minimum qualifications include three years of experience in warehouse distribution and one year of experience overseeing a workforce.

Knowledge/skills/abilities include broad knowledge of warehouse operations, strong leadership, communication and people development skills, familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, HACCP and other regulatory requirements, ability to interpret financial and operational data, and basic computer skills.

Travel includes 10% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training.

Education/training includes high school diploma or GED required; college degree preferred.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $62,300 and $103,800. This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan bonus.
