The Cook must adhere to high food quality standards to ensure guest satisfaction. This role pays an hourly rate of $15.00 to $16.00 Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, 401(k) Savings Plan, 401(k) matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and 11 holidays) EVERGREEN ROLE: Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis; there is no application deadline. ## About the Venue OVG's hospitality division partners with Winstar World Casino to provide hospitality guest services at Gran Via Buffet. Our goal is to provide our guests with a GREAT experience when they join us for a meal. ## Responsibilities - Responsible for providing high quality, fresh food items using standardized recipes and methods of preparation, as directed by other kitchen team members. - Maintains responsibility for kitchen and personal safety and sanitation, as well as care of kitchen equipment. - Operates a broad range of kitchen equipment including stoves, broilers, deep fryers and other food prep equipment, and uses hand tools, knives, and other related small wares. - Replenishes prep line food items as necessary to ensure proper presentation and availability for guests. - Responds properly to guest preferences and concerns by communicating in a positive, respectful manner to both internal and external guests. - Ensures proper food storage and food serving temperatures. - Must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events and varied schedules including weekends and holidays per business need. - Performs other special projects and duties as assigned. ## Qualifications - Must be 18 or over - Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment. - Ability to communicate with team members, management staff and guest in a clear, business-like and respectful manner. - High School Diploma, G.E.D. or related Food Service Job Experience. - All employees must obtain a valid gaming license from the Gaming Commission prior to beginning work and are required to have the license renewed as mandated by the Gaming Commission. ## Strengthened by our Differences.
