Unit Information

Unit Name: Cardiac Med-Surg

Number of Beds: 30
Patient Ratios: 1 Nurse to 6 Patients
Staffing: 6 Nurses per Shift, Charge Nurse available, Unit Secretary on Day Shift, 3 PCTs per Shift

Equipment and Documentation

Equipment: GE Telemetry, Rover, Portable WOWs, Welch-Allen Vital Signs Machine
Documentation System: Meditech

Scheduling Requirements

Must be able to work three full 12-hour shifts including 3-4 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period.

Floating Policy

Rotation with other travel nurses may be required.

Patient Experience Requirements

Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, Telemetry
Requested Skill Set: Med-Surg experience, Familiarity with Cardiac Medications/Drips, Meditech proficiency
Must-have: Cardiac/Telemetry knowledge, EKG Rhythm Identification

Advanced Skills Needed

ACLS Certification required.

Dress Code

Required uniform: Navy blue scrubs.
