$88,400.00 per year to $92,000.00 per year Health insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Job Duties: Perform on-site construction inspections (e.g., concrete, masonry, soil,steel) under the supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer (PE), to verify compliance with OSHA safety regulations, engineering drawings, design specifications, and applicable codes/standards. Assist a senior civil engineer indeveloping construction documents that include structural framing plans, foundation and superstructure detailing, notes, specification and typical construction details using AutoCAD, ETABS and SAP. Assist senior civilengineer in the development of project proposals. Provide technical support to industrial personnel, under the supervision of a licensed PE, regarding design, emerging construction problems/deficiencies, program modifications, or structural repairs. Perform testing of soils or materials, under the supervision of a licensed PE, to determine the adequacy and strength of foundations, concrete, asphalt, or steel. Assist with the maintenance of all laboratory testing materials, equipment inventory, and calibration records. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field and 2 years of work experience as an Assistant Divisional Engineer, Divisional Engineer, Construction Engineer, Civil Engineer I, Civil Engineer, or a related occupation required. The required work experience must include 2 years of experience with the following: Demonstrated knowledge of construction materials including reinforced concrete, masonry, soil, and structural steel, and their application in construction; Use engineering tools including AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil2D & 3D, ETABS, SAP2000, Microsoft Project, and Primavera P6. Demonstrated knowledge of ACI, ASTM, AASHTO, AISC,OSHA Safety Laws and Regulations, and ISO quality standards. Performing QA/QC inspections, laboratory testing of concrete, asphalt, and soils and calibration of testing equipment in line with applicable codes and standards.
