What You'll Do:

• Conduct chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices to determine normal and abnormal components.
• Analyze blood cells using microscopic techniques, identifying and counting cells.
• Prepare blood, plasma, and platelets for transfusions, including blood typing and compatibility testing.
• Operate, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and evaluate laboratory equipment such as analyzers, spectrophotometers, and other devices.
• Manage laboratory supplies inventory, anticipating needed supplies and verifying receipt.
• Prepare reports of test results by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data.
• Maintain quality control standards, ensuring safety, infection control, and accurate documentation.
• Stay current with professional knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.
• Adhere to all safety policies to protect patients and staff.

What You Need:

Required:

• Valid Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) license
• Prior laboratory testing experience

Preferred:

• Experience working night shifts
• Familiarity with laboratory equipment and quality control procedures
• Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills
