About the Role:
As an R&D Engineer, you will serve as a vital link between manufacturing, supplier partners, and product teams. Your role will focus on ensuring that products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance. You'll manage specifications, oversee supplier compliance, and support new product development initiatives-helping to maintain our reputation as an industry leader. Salary: $120k-140k

What You'll Need to Succeed:

• Proven experience in wire and cable manufacturing, including evaluating designs and interpreting inspection reports.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, material, and environmental specifications relevant to wire and cable products.
• Ability to produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, and product documentation using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
• Hands-on experience with sample approvals, qualification testing, and supplier management.
• Excellent communication skills-capable of conveying complex technical requirements clearly and confidently.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in managing multiple projects and collaborating with global suppliers and internal teams.

Nice to Have Skills:

• AutoCAD or SolidWorks experience (not required but a plus).
• Familiarity with industry standards (UL, CSA, etc.) and testing procedures.
• Project management experience utilizing PLM/ALM tools.

Preferred Educational Background & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering, or related fields (Master's degree a plus).
• Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in product development, manufacturing, or R&D within wire and cable industries.
• Experience working directly with suppliers and managing quality compliance.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work on-site at our Macedonia, OH office at least three days per week.
• Willingness to travel (~25%) for supplier visits and industry events.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
