Cold Chain Container Diagnostics Educator
Where & When: Houston, TX (home base) | Monday–Friday | Up to 50% regional travel

Is this you?- Do you know reefer units inside and out—and enjoy showing others the right way to work on them?
- Can you break down the refrigerant cycle, tie symptoms to root causes, and model safe, efficient repairs?
- Are you ready to train the next wave of techs while staying active on the tools?
- Lead immersive, hands-on training for refrigerated containers, transport refrigeration systems, and chassis/trailer repairs
- Demonstrate real-world diagnostics, safe work practices, and professional standards
- Teach core systems:
- Refrigerant cycle: compressors, condensers, evaporators
- Refrigeration controls + basic electrical troubleshooting
- Diesel-powered generator units
- ABS braking systems
- Coach students through live tasks, track progress, and deliver clear feedback
- Maintain labs and equipment for safety, organization, and industry readiness
Hands-on first. This isn’t a lecture hall.
What you’ll need to succeed- Experience in transport or commercial refrigeration
- Deep working knowledge of refrigeration systems and controls
- Confidence with basic electrical diagnostics
- Ability to connect the why behind the fix—not just the how
- Mentorship mindset; lead by example
- No teaching background required; experience and credibility matter most
- Up to 50% travel (Monday–Friday)
- Chassis/trailer repair and reefer unit maintenance/repair experience
- Ability to obtain a TWIC card
- Generator experience
- AWS Welding certification
- Knowledge of IICL and/or FMCSA standards
- Shape the future workforce and give back to the trade

Compensation: $80,000 - $90,000 per year
