Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse / Intensive Care Unit – Maryland

Start Date: October 2026

Location: Baltimore, Maryland

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, every other weekend required. Patient ratios are typically 1:2 in ICU (may adjust to 1:3 for downgraded patients or 1:4 when floating to Intermediate Care). Candidates may float to other critical care areas within scope and competency based on facility needs.

Highlights:

• 29-bed non-aggregated ICU specializing in Medical, Surgical, Coronary Care, Neuro, and Trauma patient populations
• Level II trauma center with advanced neuro and trauma intervention experience; Level I trauma experience preferred
• Teaching hospital environment with average daily census of 26 patients serving adults and geriatric populations
• Charting system: Cerner
• Contract duration up to 365 days with mandatory six-month separation period before return
• Local candidates accepted; first-time travelers welcome

Requirements:

• Valid Maryland or Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience required
• Level II trauma experience required; Level I trauma and teaching hospital experience preferred
• Neuro ICU and Surgical ICU experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
• ATCAR or equivalent trauma education required (Maryland-approved trauma course available to meet requirement)
• Prophecy Relias Advanced EKG assessment with passing score required before contract initiation
• Dysrhythmia interpretation and management experience required
• Experience managing multisystem organ dysfunction/failure required
• Cardiac and vasoactive drip titration experience required
• Specialized equipment experience required: IABP, CRRT, EVD, Arctic Sun/Cooling blanket management
• Flu vaccination required (medical exemptions only)
