About This Role The Offsite Registered Nurse is a Registered Professional Nurse who provides safe, competent, quality care based on nursing theory and research to a designated group of patients and significant others. Highlights Pay: $54.9075 - $59.388 Hourly Location: Brooklyn, NY Facility: Mount Sinai Hospital Department/Unit: Brooklyn Cardiology - OFFS Schedule: Full-Time, Day shift What You'll Do Assist in development, implementation, and evaluation of standards of care and professional practice. Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered. Provide direct, continuous care for a specific caseload of patients. Coordinate patient care activities, including teaching, rounding, counseling, and discharge planning. Communicate effectively and professionally with patients and healthcare team members. Participate in performance improvement, nursing quality, and nursing research activities. Collaborate with members of the healthcare team to plan and implement patient care. Maintain clinical competence and be responsible for own professional growth and development. Support the mission, philosophy, standards, and objectives of the institution and department. Treat co‑workers, patients, and families with dignity and respect. Requirements Education: Bachelor of Science with a major in Nursing required; Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing considered if hired prior to January 1995. Experience: Relevant clinical competence in area of nursing practice; new graduates must possess current knowledge of the nursing process.
