Location: Tucson, AZ

Base Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year
Commission: 10% commission on net group ticket sales
Schedule: On-site, Monday–Friday, with evenings, weekends, games, and events as required

Position Overview

A professional sports organization in Tucson, Arizona is seeking a driven and experienced Director of Group Sales to lead and grow its group ticket sales efforts.

This is a hands-on, revenue-producing sales role for someone who knows how to build relationships, develop new business, create exciting group experiences, and turn prospects into long-term customers.

The Director of Group Sales will be responsible for growing group ticket revenue through corporate partnerships, schools, youth sports organizations, nonprofits, military organizations, community groups, associations, and other organizations throughout the Tucson market.

This position is ideal for a motivated sports sales professional who enjoys prospecting, networking, being active in the community, and directly impacting attendance and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive group ticket sales strategy focused on revenue growth and attendance.
• Prospect and generate new group business through outbound calls, emails, networking, referrals, community outreach, and in-person meetings.
• Build relationships with corporations, schools, youth sports organizations, nonprofits, military organizations, associations, and community groups.
• Create and sell group ticket packages, theme nights, special events, hospitality opportunities, and customized group experiences.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and initial outreach through presentation, closing, fulfillment, renewal, and account growth.
• Maintain an active pipeline of prospective and existing group accounts.
• Consistently meet or exceed established group sales and revenue goals.
• Develop creative programs and promotions designed to drive attendance for targeted games.
• Partner with ticketing leadership to coordinate group inventory, seating, pricing, holds, releases, and ticket fulfillment.
• Work closely with marketing, sponsorship, community relations, and game operations to develop successful group initiatives.
• Maintain accurate customer records, sales activity, opportunities, and revenue information within CRM and ticketing systems.
• Develop strong relationships with existing group customers to drive renewals, referrals, and repeat business.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and revenue updates to leadership.
• Represent the organization at networking events, community functions, games, and other business-development opportunities.
• Support group customers during games and events to ensure an outstanding experience from initial sale through game day.
• Remain actively involved in direct sales and prospecting while helping drive the overall growth of the group sales program.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of group sales, ticket sales, business development, or other revenue-generating sales experience.
• Professional sports, collegiate athletics, live entertainment, venue, or ticketing experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to prospect, develop new accounts, build relationships, and close business.
• Demonstrated success working toward sales and revenue goals.
• Strong outbound sales mentality with confidence making calls, sending outreach, networking, and meeting prospects in person.
• Experience with group ticket programs, theme nights, special events, or similar sales initiatives preferred.
• Experience using CRM and/or ticketing technology.
• Ticketmaster experience preferred.
• Spinzo experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a sales pipeline and accurately forecast revenue.
• Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple departments.
• Must be able to work on-site in Tucson five days per week.
• Must be available for games, events, evenings, and weekends as required.

Compensation

Base Salary: $50,000–$60,000 per year, depending on experience.

Commission: 10% commission on net group ticket sales, providing significant additional earning potential based on individual sales performance.

Additional compensation and benefit details will be discussed during the interview process.

Work Location

This is an on-site position based in Tucson, Arizona . Candidates must be able to work on-site five days per week and attend games and events outside of traditional business hours when required.

Local candidates are preferred; relocation may be considered for the right candidate.
