Sr. Software Engineer

We are looking for a Sr. Software Engineer to contribute to the design and delivery of scalable backend and platform solutions supporting modern cloud-based applications. This Long-term Contract position offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional engineering teams in Chicago, Illinois while building services, APIs, and foundational infrastructure in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate brings strong software development expertise, enjoys shaping solutions in newly established environments, and can help turn technical concepts into reliable implementations.Responsibilities:• Develop and maintain backend applications, platform components, and service integrations using technologies such as C#, .NET, Python, Node.js, and related tools.• Design and implement secure, scalable APIs and distributed services aligned with cloud-native and microservices-based architecture principles.• Build application and infrastructure solutions from the ground up, supporting greenfield initiatives through planning, development, deployment, and optimization.• Automate provisioning and release processes by applying Infrastructure as Code practices to cloud environments and platform services.• Collaborate with architects, engineering leads, and peer developers to translate technical strategies into well-structured, production-ready solutions.• Support the setup and improvement of cloud infrastructure, backend systems, and platform capabilities to ensure performance, reliability, and maintainability.• Contribute to technical discussions, code reviews, and engineering best practices that promote high-quality delivery across the development lifecycle.• Explore and incorporate emerging tools and frameworks, including AI-enabled development technologies when relevant to project goals.
