Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours Employment Type: Travel We are hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for a contract role at a skilled nursing facility in Portland, OR. Under the guidance of a licensed Occupational Therapist, you will assist patients in regaining skills for daily living through therapeutic exercises, activities, and patient/family education. New graduates are welcome. The minimum qualifications and assignment details are below. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license in Oregon required to start the assignment. BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required. Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings preferred. Ability to document patient progress and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience in rehabilitation therapy within skilled nursing facilities. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Experience with common SNF documentation systems preferred. Assignment Details Shift Hours: 8-hour day shift. Float required to other clinics within the organization.
