About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: PCU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 PM - 07:30 AM Hours per Shift: 12.5 Experience: Minimum of 1 year License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Epic experience preferred Description: This position requires working night shifts from 7 PM to 7:30 AM every other weekend. Availability during Thanksgiving and one other winter holiday is required. The unit is a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical step-down unit. Nurses with an ICU background typically excel in this environment. The nurse-patient ratio is 4:1, with occasional 3:1 ratios. Nurses must be willing to care for patients with chest tubes, arterial lines, PICC lines, and other central lines. Experience with managing ostomies, tracheostomies, NG tubes, wound vacs, and various drains is necessary. Nurses will also be responsible for administering IV infusions and drips including heparin, insulin, nitro, amiodarone, and cardizem.
