Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 3+ years of experience and ARRT CT certification for a night shift role at a Level II Trauma Center.
Details
- Level II Trauma Center setting serving adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department populations
- Patient ratio of 1:3
- Night shift schedule (3x12 hours), Monday/Tuesday/Thursday 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Call required approximately 2 shifts per month
- Uses GE Revolution Scanner, PACS, IV Tera Recon, AW, Vision, and i-STAT systems
- GE Revolution Scanner experience highly preferred
Requirements
- ARRT CT, ARRT R, and BLS certifications required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum 3 years of CT Technologist experience required
- Experience with image display and post-processing including 3D rendering, multiplanar reconstruction, and ROI measurement
- Experience with abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine/musculoskeletal, and chest CT studies
- Experience with special procedures including coronary CTA, vascular CTA, and brain perfusion preferred
- Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media
- Skilled in starting peripheral IVs
- Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE
Additional Information
- Performs a wide range of CT imaging studies including abdomen/pelvis, head/neck, spine, musculoskeletal, chest, and vascular studies
- Supports a very busy hospital environment
- Previous travel experience preferred
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Previous employees must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
- Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate
- Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
