Travel CT Technologist Job Details

• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
• Location: Jacksonville, Florida
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,030–$2,190
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• End Date: February 13, 2027
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Hours: Approximately 36 hours per week
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend; Friday–Sunday block scheduling
• On-Call: As requested
• Work Setting: On-site hospital imaging department and mobile emergency imaging unit
• Patient Population: Patients of all age groups
• Travel Requirement: A 50-mile radius rule applies; local candidates are not eligible
• Scheduling Notes: No time off during the first two weeks of a new assignment; up to eight days of time off may be submitted for the 13-week contract

CT Technologist and Radiologic Technologist Requirements

• At least 2 years of clinical radiology experience
• At least 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Recent experience performing both CT and diagnostic X-ray procedures is required
• High school diploma or GED
• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology or radiology program
• ARRT certification in Radiography and CT, along with Florida Department of Health authorization, required at the time of submission
• Comparable credentials such as NMTCB, ARMRIT, or ARDMS may be accepted where applicable
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ARRT certification verification and NIH Stroke Scale competency or certification
• Associate degree in Radiologic Technology preferred
• Experience with Canon CT scanners preferred but not required
• Experience with EPIC Radiant and imaging equipment is preferred
• Ability to maintain competency in at least two imaging modalities

CT and Diagnostic X-Ray Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans and diagnostic X-ray examinations for patients of all ages
• Operate CT, X-ray, and mobile imaging equipment safely and efficiently, including equipment used for emergency field response
• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures clearly, and provide attentive patient care
• Apply appropriate radiation safety practices and follow established imaging protocols
• Review imaging orders and patient histories to ensure exams are performed accurately and appropriately
• Document procedures and results accurately in EPIC Radiant or related imaging systems
• Identify and respond appropriately to urgent or emergent imaging needs
• Perform basic equipment troubleshooting and promptly report technical concerns
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, radiologists, and other members of the care team
• Maintain professional competency across CT and X-ray modalities while supporting a fast-paced hospital imaging environment
