Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in PACU and Pre-Op nursing, providing excellent care to patients recovering from anesthesia.

Key Details

  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks
  • Orientation: Virtual orientation every Monday, 8 hours, non-billable
  • Schedule: Days, 4x10 hour shifts with varied start times, earliest at 0600
  • Weekend Requirement: Required only when on-call
  • Holiday Requirement: Yes, required in rotation for on-call


    • Responsibilities

    The Registered Nurse will be responsible for:

    • Providing high-quality post-operative care to patients in the PACU.
    • Monitoring patients' vital signs and ensuring their comfort throughout recovery.
    • Collaborating with surgical and anesthetic teams to facilitate a smooth recovery process.
    • Assessing and addressing patient needs promptly and effectively.
    Qualifications

    To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
    • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of PACU and Pre-Op experience is required; previous travel experience is preferred.
    • License & Certifications: Active Kansas RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required.
    • Additional Requirements: Candidates must be nicotine-free.

    Additional Information

    Creds are due one week prior to the start date. Payroll is processed bi-weekly.
