Camp Counselor

Pay: $800.00 per week Job description: Seasonal Summer 2026 Overnight Camp Position We are seeking enthusiastic, kind, adventurous individuals to join our inaugural summer camp program located on a beautiful 100-acre retreat property in the rolling hills of De Luz in Fallbrook. This is a unique opportunity to help create a meaningful, nature-based experience for children ages 5–12 while spending the summer immersed in outdoor education, ecology, farming, and community. Position Details Camp Dates: June 22 – July 30, 2026 Schedule: Monday 9:00 AM – Thursday 4:00 PM Camp Hours: Day Camp: 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM Overnight Camp: Monday–Wednesday nights Camper pickup Thursday at 3:00 PM Pay: $800/week Housing/Camping: Staff are expected to remain onsite Monday–Thursday and are welcome to stay for complimentary camping Thursday–Sunday. Meals Provided: Monday–Wednesday About the Camp Our camp is centered around: Ecology & environmental stewardship Sustainable food practices Animal care & respect for living things Team building & cooperative play Outdoor exploration and creativity We are looking for staff who can help create a warm, safe, playful, and inspiring environment for campers. This is the first year of the program, so flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude are essential. Ideal Candidates Have Previous camp experience Current CPR certification Current Livescan/background clearance Experience working with children ages 5–12 Patience, kindness, and strong communication skills A sense of adventure and willingness to be outdoors all day Preferred (but not required) Educator or teaching background Animal care experience Outdoor education experience Farm or nature-based program experience Additional Information If camp enrollment is lower than anticipated, staff will still be paid for scheduled hours and may assist with additional farm and property-related duties during the same work schedule.
