Outpatient Surgery Coder

To support outpatient surgical services, the full-time Outpatient Surgery Coder will perform coding for surgical procedures remotely from 8 AM to 4:30 PM. Key responsibilities Accurately code outpatient surgical procedures using appropriate coding systems Review and analyze medical records to ensure compliance with coding guidelines Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify documentation and coding discrepancies Required qualifications Certification as a Professional Coder (CPC, CCS-P, or equivalent) Minimum of 2 years of experience in outpatient surgery coding Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy Ability to work independently in a remote environment
