Emergency Department Technician

Description Supports nursing and physician staff by performing tasks that assist in the care and treatment of patients with illnesses and injuries. Serves as a liaison among members of the healthcare team, patients and families. Organizes, replaces and maintains inventory and supply levels in the Department. Assists in other department-related activities. Take a proactive approach in anticipating the needs of the patient and/or care team by performing and completion tasks within scope of practice. Required Qualifications H.S. Diploma or GED. Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification upon hire. Washington Nursing Assistant Certification License upon hire or, Washington Nursing Assistant Registered upon hire or, National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire. 1 year - Recent emergency department or related medical experience providing direct patient care, preferably in a free-standing emergency department. EMT-B recent experience will be considered. EMT-B procedures and skills allowed are generally non-invasive. Preferred Qualifications Coursework/Training - Nursing or other health care related training. Pay and Compensation Pay Range: $32.62 - $48.11. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
