Overview Job Title: Speech Therapist (SLP) Location: Height Street Skilled Care - Bakersfield, CA Position Type: Full-Time Pay Rate: $78 - $80 per hour (DOE) Join Our Team! Height Street Skilled Care, a skilled nursing facility in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping residents improve their communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities. Responsibilities Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care Monitor and document resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy techniques and care plans Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards Participate in care planning meetings and required in-service trainings Qualifications Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in California (required) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Benefits Competitive pay ($78 - $80 DOE) Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunity to positively impact residents’ quality of life #J-18808-Ljbffr
