HVAC Estimator OpportunityAn established mechanical contractor serving Southern California is actively seeking a detail-oriented HVAC Estimator to support ongoing growth across government and private-sector projects. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a strong understanding of HVAC estimating and a passion for solving mechanical challenges through efficient, code-compliant, and cost-effective solutions.The role involves full-cycle estimating from job walks to final proposal—providing critical support for design-build and commercial projects valued from $500K to $10M.Key ResponsibilitiesAttend job walks, pre-bid meetings, and site assessments to accurately capture project scopeAnalyze project requirements and identify innovative, cost-effective solutionsConduct thorough plan/spec reviews and material takeoffsSource, evaluate, and confirm vendor/subcontractor pricingDevelop and submit professional proposals tailored to each client's needsEstimate design-build, commercial projects for mechanical scopesUtilize estimating tools such like ExcelWhat You'll Work WithClose collaboration with operations and field teams to ensure estimate alignmentSupport from administrative and bid coordination staffA strong network of vendors and subcontractors with reliable pricing and relationshipsAccess to ongoing training, certifications, and leadership developmentPreferred Traits & Experience2+ years of HVAC estimating experience (commercial and design-build is preferred but not required)Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, construction materials, and code requirementsProficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, and estimating softwareAbility to independently estimate mechanical systems from concept through final proposalStrong organizational and communication skillsCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary based on experienceCompany vehicle or auto allowance provided100% employer-paid health insurance for employeesOptional dependent coverage via payroll deductionDental and vision insurance available at minimal cost401(k) plan with profit-sharing contributionsPaid vacation, sick time, and holidays
