Our 52-bed Skilled Nursing community in Lake Forest is seeking a Director of Staff Development & Infection Preventionist to lead education, training, and infection control programs.

Position Summary

The DSD/IP plans and implements staff orientation, ongoing education, and infection prevention programs in compliance with State and Federal regulations. This role also provides leadership and oversight of CNAs to ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead staff orientation, in-service education, and skills competency training
• Oversee infection prevention and control program, including compliance and staff training
• Maintain staff licenses, certifications, and training records
• Ensure compliance with Title 22 and regulatory requirements
• Supervise and support CNA staff, including scheduling, performance monitoring, coaching, and evaluations
• Promote quality care, dignity, and resident rights
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting

Qualifications

• CA LVN license required (RN preferred)
• Certified Infection Preventionist
• 4+ years of staff development or related experience
• Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
• Knowledge of skilled nursing regulations and survey readiness
• Passion for working with seniors and team development

Salary

$95,000 $105,000 annually, based on experience

Schedule

MondayFriday

May require occasional weekend or NOC shift visits to conduct staff training and in-services
