Assistant Manager Master Data & Pricing

This position is responsible for implementing processes based on direction from the Master Data Management & Pricing Manager. Focus areas include supervising assigned Master Data Management & Pricing Coordinators during day-to-day tasks, training those team members, and leading their team in project work that falls outside of routine responsibilities. This position will also facilitate communication between Coordinators and Managers, as well as internal and external stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide direction to Master Data Management & Pricing Coordinators
• Manage projects associated with assigned clients
• Train Master Data Management & Pricing Coordinators in new tasks and backup responsibilities
• Liaise between Coordinators and Management, and internal and external stakeholders
• Participate in employee performance reviews
• Coordinate with Management to mitigate issues within the department
• Schedule and manage 1:1 meetings with Coordinators
• Participate in the recruitment and interview process
• Assess technology requirements needed to support current or proposed business

• Perform root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans
• Work internally and externally toward problem resolution
• Work with Management to establish and maintain policies, procedures, and SOPs
• Identify possible streamlining capabilities in all areas of master data inputs
• Prioritize and manage day to day activities, using time effectively

• Fill in for Manager in times of absence making decisions, holding meetings, and providing accountability

• Backup support of the day-to-day ongoing client project workload
• Advocate for team members internally and externally

Qualifications

Education and experience requirement

Minimum:
• 3+ years of master data, pricing, accounting or related industry experience
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Logistics or relevant work experience

Preferred:
• JD Edwards experience

Language and technical skills requirement
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• General understanding of accounting terms and concepts
• General understanding of supply chain terms and concepts
• Self-starter and team player
• Results driven, self-sufficient and highly motivated
• General understanding of ERP systems
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Demonstrated experiences of resolving issues with examples
• Analytic and research abilities and detail oriented
