We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and dedicated construction site safety manager to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity to play a significant part in our company's growth and success. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a focus on safety, regulatory compliance, and fostering a proactive, safety-first culture. The Construction Site Safety Manager will serve as the on-site safety leader, responsible for implementing and managing safety programs across active project sites

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Supervision: Lead a small team comprised of both direct and indirect reports

Compliance & Inspection: Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulations.

Policy Development: Create, maintain, and enforce company-specific safety policies, procedures, and Emergency Action Plans.

Incident Response: Lead investigation of accidents, near-misses, and safety violations to determine root cause and implement corrective actions. Prepare detailed reports thereof.

Training: Organize and conduct safety meetings, new hire orientations, and specialized training.

Data Analysis: Use data tools to track safety performance metrics, including lagging and leading indicators, to predict risks.

Equipment Management: Ensure safety equipment (PPE) is maintained, available, and properly used

PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or 5 years in a dedicated safety role. Utility construction background.

Training Background: OSHA 500, MESH, CMESH, Advanced Safety Certificate, Bilingual would be an asset

Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of OSHA regulations, risk assessment methods, and industrial hygiene.

Soft Skills: Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to influence a positive safety culture. Comfortable interfacing with a multitude of personnel, including field employees, customers, upper-level management, and community members alike.

Technical Proficiency: Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ISNetworld and Avetta

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Field Presence: Often requires frequent walking, standing, climbing ladders, and navigating job sites or manufacturing floors.
• Environment: Frequently involves alternating between office work and active site inspections.
• Travel: Some overnight travel within NC, SC, VA, MD, and surrounding areas.
