About JerseySTEM JerseySTEM is a mission-driven professional network of pro‑bono contributors dedicated to improving access to STEM education and career pathways for underserved middle school girls in New Jersey. All JerseySTEM roles are pro‑bono (unpaid) positions. Overview This is a pro bono volunteer position. JerseySTEM is seeking a skilled Project Manager to help implement and execute transformational organization outcomes. The candidate will have demonstrated expertise and application of Agile methodologies, techniques and frameworks, a successful track record of driving and facilitating teams, commitment to continuous learning and a mindset of relentless improvement. Responsibilities Attend the meeting of the team you will be supporting (weekly or daily). Create user stories to describe work items, with clear descriptions and acceptance criteria. Prioritize stories for the backlog and keep the team organized and focused. Conduct weekly meetings with stakeholders and monitor the health of the Kanban board. Encourage team members to utilize JIRA for task management. Drive open communication with team members. Be the servant leader for the team members, mentoring/assisting them when needed. Identify opportunities for improvement and be “THE CHAMPION OF CHANGE”. Qualifications Technical Qualifications: Experience using Jira, Kanban or Sprint Board, Slack. Excellent communication, analytical, mentoring and problem‑solving skills. Minimum time commitment: 4–6 hours per week, for a minimum 6 months. #J-18808-Ljbffr JerseySTEM
