Position Overview

The First Steps Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) provides early intervention speech and language therapy services to infants and toddlers (birth to 3 years) and their families in natural environments. This is a contract position offering flexibility to build your own caseload and schedule while delivering family-centered, evidence-based therapy services.

Part-Time or Full-Time, Contract Position - Flexible scheduling with the ability to determine your caseload and availability

Salary: $76.00 - $94.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Provide speech and language therapy services in home and community-based settings
Conduct speech-language evaluations and ongoing developmental assessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with families and the interdisciplinary team
Coach caregivers on strategies to support communication, language development, feeding, and early literacy skills
Monitor progress and modify interventions as needed
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Indiana First Steps and state requirements
Collaborate with service coordinators, therapists, and other team members

Requirements: Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet all Indiana First Steps hiring and credentialing requirements , including but not limited to:

Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Indiana
Experience working with young children and families preferred
Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable form of transportation.
Must meet Indiana First Steps qualifications.
Ability to pass background checks, TB testing, and other state-required screenings
Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills

Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Salary: $76.00-$94.00 per hour

**Please note this position is for service area Hendricks County only, no remote work.**
