Job Description

The Manufacturing Operator supports the safe and efficient production of materials by assisting operators, operating machinery, and performing quality checks in a clean, temperature-controlled manufacturing facility. This role includes occasional use of a sit-down forklift to stage materials and requires strong attention to detail, adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist operators in the production of materials in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Operate production machinery and equipment safely, efficiently, and in line with established guidelines.
• Monitor production processes to ensure materials meet required specifications and quality standards.
• Perform routine quality checks on products and accurately document results.
• Use a sit-down forklift to stage and move materials as needed, approximately 10% of the time.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area to support efficient production.
• Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and company policies at all times.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with team members, operators, and supervisors regarding production status and needs.

• Support general production activities, including working on production lines, machine operation, assembly line tasks, and compounding as required.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and the ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment (preferred, but ability to learn and adapt quickly after training is essential).
• Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Experience with sit-down forklift operation, including staging and moving materials.
• Willingness to obtain or maintain forklift certification as required.
• Ability to stand for the duration of a rotating 12-hour shift and perform manual labor.
• Hands-on experience or strong aptitude in production line work, machine operation, manufacturing processes, general production, assembly line tasks, and compounding.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform accurate quality checks and documentation.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to meeting shift and scheduling requirements.
• Ability to operate machinery safely and recognize potential hazards in a manufacturing environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility is preferred.
• Formal forklift certification is preferred; willingness to complete company-provided training is required.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to production issues.
• Comfort working in an environment that offers cross-training across multiple machines and processes.
• Openness to continuous learning and skill development to support progression within the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, DE.

The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Newark,DE.
