WiFi Test Engineer

Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive testing of Wi‑Fi products in a lab environment. Analyze performance metrics like throughput, latency, and coverage. Troubleshoot issues using Wireshark packet capture and analysis. Develop and execute test plans based on product requirements and specifications. Create detailed test reports documenting test results, findings, and recommendations. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (hardware, software, firmware) to identify and resolve issues. Stay up‑to‑date with the latest Wi‑Fi standards and technologies. Skills Understanding of Wi‑Fi protocols (802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax) Some experience with Wi‑Fi testing tools and methodologies. Proficiency in using Wireshark for packet capture and analysis. Experience deploying, implementing and troubleshooting wireless networks. Nice to Have Experience with Ixia or similar traffic generation and analysis tools. Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Perl) for test automation. Experience working with multiple wireless access point vendors (e.g., Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, Aruba, Ubiquity, Cambium) is a plus.
