Manager, Technical Project Management

IT DirectorThe Defense Mission and Health Solutions team, Benefits, Claims & Integrity Solutions Operating Unit seeks an IT Director to support our Health and Human Services (HHS) and Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) customer delivery and be part of the leadership for CMS Consumer Information and Insurance Oversight (CCIIO) initiatives. The IT Director will lead technology operations, strategy, and modernization efforts supporting our Eligibility Support programs. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of secure, reliable, and scalable IT services that enable case processing, customer service operations, and mission-critical human services programs for our government customers. You will partner with program leadership, state and federal stakeholders, and cross-functional Peraton teams to ensure that systems, infrastructure, and applications effectively support eligibility determination, enrollment, and ongoing case management functions.What You'll Do:Provide strategic leadership for all IT services supporting Eligibility Support operations, including infrastructure, applications, data management, and securityLead multi-disciplinary teams across application development, system operations, service delivery, and technical supportOversee system performance, uptime, service levels, and issue resolution for high-volume eligibility processing environmentsServe as the primary technical liaison with customer IT organizations, state agencies, vendors, and Peraton program leadershipDirect modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, platform upgrades, automation, and digital transformation effortsEnsure compliance with federal and state regulations and agency-specific security requirementsManage IT budget, resource planning, vendor relationships, and technology procurementEstablish technical roadmaps, architecture standards, and operational best practicesOversee change management processes, release planning, and configuration controlsDrive continuous improvement and operational excellence across Eligibility Support systems and support centersLead risk management, cybersecurity posture, and incident response activitiesSupport proposal development, customer presentations, and growth initiatives as neededRequired Qualifications:10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including oversight of enterprise systems or large operational programsDirect experience supporting government human services, health eligibility systems, or large-scale operations centersStrong understanding of eligibility platforms, rules engines, data interfaces, and case management workflowsExperience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), DevOps practices, and enterprise architecture frameworksDemonstrated ability to lead diverse technical teams in fast-paced, mission-critical environmentsExcellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and customer-facing leadership skillsExperience with ITIL processes, service management, and compliance frameworksUS Citizen and the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.Preferred Qualifications:Active public trust clearanceBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or a Master's DegreeExperience providing IT Leadership for government-administered eligibility programs within health and human services domainPrior experience in a government contracting environmentPMP, ITIL, SAFe, or cloud certificationsExperience managing modernization or legacy system transformation projectsPeraton OverviewPeraton is a next-generation national security company that drives missions of consequence spanning the globe and extending to the farthest reaches of the galaxy. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations.
