Manager of Finance & Accounting

LHH is partnering with an PE-backed real estate investment management firm that is seeking a Manager of Finance & Accounting to join their team. The responsibilities for this position are blended, with an ideal candidate having an accounting background, but recent finance responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day accounting operations for the investment advisor and related entities, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial statements, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness Coordinate with third-party accounting, tax, and administrative service providers to support financial and compliance requirements Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for the investment advisor and captive service providers Develop and maintain financial models, including revenue, expense, and cash flow projections Monitor performance versus budget and forecast, and prepare reporting and analysis for senior management Review and approve expense reporting in accordance with internal policies and external compliance requirements Support cash management activities, including cash flow tracking and liquidity planning Collaborate with internal teams (legal, compliance, investor relations, asset management) to ensure consistency with governing agreements and business operations Assist with investor reporting, capital raising materials, and ad-hoc requests from senior leadership Provide guidance and informal supervision to junior accounting staff, as needed Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 5–7 years of relevant professional experience, preferably within real estate investment management, private equity, asset management, or financial services Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and financial analysis Advanced Excel skills; experience with financial accounting systems required (Workday experience preferred) Experience working with third-party accounting and tax service providers Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines High level of attention to detail, professionalism, and integrity Proactive mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively Benefits Overview Benefit offerings for full-time employment include medical, dental, vision, term life and AD&D insurance, short-term and long-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, wellness plans, and a 401k plan Personal Time Off (PTO) is Unlimited, 10 Paid Holidays, and up to 16 weeks of Paid Parental Leave (1+ years of employment) Annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled To read our Candidate Privacy Information Statement, which explains how we will use your information, please navigate to The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and/or security clearance requirements, including, as applicable:
