A growing personal injury law firm is searching for a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join their team in McKinney, TX! They are looking for someone with at least 2 years of experience in legal or healthcare billing who is proficient in QuickBooks and has a strong ability to negotiate and manage liens. Pay Range: $20 - $25/hr DOE Responsibilities:- Efficiently process case matters and documents through the case management system
- Handle incoming calls, mail, and faxes promptly
- Review client medical records and billing charges for accuracy, addressing discrepancies
- Confirm outstanding bills and liens with providers and lien holders
- Conduct searches to identify and verify valid liens
- Maintain accurate medical provider profiles, including charge breakdowns
- Facilitate communication with medical providers and lien holders to negotiate and reduce balances
- Collaborate with Pre-Litigation and Litigation Departments in managing lien tracking for case files
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Billing Specialist, preferably in the legal or healthcare industries
- Must have experience with lien negotiations and reductions
- Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
- Associate's degree or higher in a relevant field
- Strong attention to detail and a team-oriented personality
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
