Outside Sales Representative Our client is a family-owned leader in construction supply for over 100 years! They provide quality products and exceptional service.They have a 400,000 sq. ft. warehouse with an extensive fleet of delivery vehicles and most importantly, a friendly staff ready and willing to help the customer. Summary Represents company in maintaining and developing customer accounts by performing the duties listed below. Most of the business if from your book of existing customers. Important to success in this role is the development of new customers. This position is a consultative sale where the development of relationships with the customer and deliver of valued solutions will advance your sales. Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Ensures a high level of customer satisfaction. Makes key sales decisions. Keeps customers abreast of current pricing, product and market changes. Quotes material bids on a timely basis and leaving a quality audit trail. Phone calls, emails, texts, and/or fax inquiries in a timely manner. Relays answers to technical questions for customers. Acts as liaison between manufacturers and customers. Interfaces with management for critical decisions. Interfaces with inside sales. Solicits sales to new contractors and/or existing contractors trading with company competitors, including commercial contractors, residential, building envelope, sheet metal, and lumber yards. Maintains continuing education and self study regarding existing products, new products, and industry trends. Required Skills, Education and Experience. High School Diploma or GED 4 to 6 years’ experience in sales (Inside or outside) Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Computer Skills. MS Office; Word, Excel, and Outlook Google Earth General computer aptitude to learn our in-house systems for Order Processing and Inventory. Background Check required, good DMV record.
