**Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Nurse in Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) - Nights!** Join our dynamic healthcare team as a compassionate Registered Nurse I (RN I) specializing in LDRP/OB. Embark on an exhilarating 13-week journey, providing exceptional patient and family-centered care. Your crucial role will make a difference in the lives of patients during one of their most significant experiences. **Key Responsibilities:** - Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop, implement, and evaluate customized care plans. - Deliver direct patient care to individuals across the lifespan, ensuring optimal health outcomes. - Provide clear, culturally sensitive education to patients and families, enhancing health literacy and supporting smooth transitions of care. - Direct and supervise licensed practical nurses, nursing assistants, and other ancillary personnel. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic health record. - Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and multidisciplinary care teams. - Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives, as well as ongoing professional development. - Float to other departments as needed, with appropriate orientation and training. - Perform additional duties as assigned to meet hospital operations and patient needs. **General Qualifications:** - Current New Mexico RN license or active Multi-State Compact (eNLC) license. - Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification from the American Heart Association (or equivalent). - Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Education and clinical experience that provide the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary for the assigned department. - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and critical-thinking skills. - Ability to deliver compassionate, culturally competent care to patients of all ages (pediatric through geriatric). - Strong team player with flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment. - Commitment to professional growth and lifelong learning. **Physical, Environmental & Psychological Considerations:** - Frequent exposure to bloodborne pathogens, body fluids, infectious diseases, and biohazardous materials. - Work occurs primarily in a temperature-controlled hospital setting with occasional exposure to varied sounds, odors, and emotionally challenging situations. - Must be physically able to lift, position, and transfer patients using proper body mechanics and assistive equipment. - Ability to work effectively under stress, respond calmly to emergencies, and maintain strong problem-solving and coping skills. - Team-oriented, adaptable, and resilient in dynamic clinical situations. **Department-Specific Qualifications for Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum (LDRP):** - Current BLS, ACLS, NRP, and Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications required. - OPS Emergency Workshop and STABLE certification required within 12 months. - SAFER NM Technician certification preferred. - Skilled in all aspects of perinatal care, labor support, delivery, and newborn assessment. - Knowledge of sterile technique and sterile field maintenance. **Shift Information:** - 12-hour rotating nights with possible coverage on holidays/weekends. **Minimum Years of Experience:** - 1 year **Certifications/Requirements:** - BLS/BCLS - NRP **Why Catalytic Solutions (CatSol):** At CatSol, we connect dedicated therapists with rewarding assignments across the country.
