Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery – Eureka, CA 95501

Start Date: August 24, 2026

Location: Eureka, California

Schedule: Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (18:00 - 06:30). Weekend coverage required to meet staffing needs. Must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day). Maximum of 7 days requested time off per contract.

Highlights:

• 26-week travel assignment in a culturally diverse Labor and Delivery unit
• Care for high-risk obstetric patients with 15-20 average daily census
• 11 rooms, 15 beds with approximately 20 visits per day
• RNs circulate on cesarean sections and provide comprehensive perinatal care
• Postpartum experience preferred; float opportunities available within scope of practice
• 40 hours of orientation provided

Requirements:

• Active California RN license or Compact license (must be in hand at submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience
• Epic charting system experience required
• Current certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
• Experience with patient ratios of 1-3
• Proficiency in core L&D skills including fetal monitoring, labor support, vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation, postpartum care, newborn assessment, and breastfeeding support
• Two professional references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
• Clean background check required
• First-time travelers accepted
