Role: The Intern provides administrative and gift-processing support to the Foundation’s Philanthropy Operations & Services team. This temporary position will support Chapters Health Foundation (CHF) during the transition to third-party caging and lockbox services. The position is responsible for the accurate and timely handling of incoming philanthropic mail, document imaging, batch uploads, donor acknowledgment letters, database maintenance activities, and other administrative functions that support gift processing and donor stewardship. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Mail Processing & Distribution Receive, open, date, sort, and appropriately distribute incoming Foundation mail for CHF and CAP. Identify checks, donor correspondence, planned giving documents, event-related gifts, and other materials requiring special handling. Scan and image gift documentation and supporting materials according to established Foundation procedures. Ensure scanned documents are complete, legible, and associated with the appropriate gift-processing workflow. Sort and distribute mail to the appropriate Foundation team members or departments. Handle donor information and financial documents with appropriate confidentiality and security. Qualifications Current enrollment in graduate or undergraduate degree program Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Outlook, and Internet applications Strong verbal and written communication skills Good analytical, prioritizing, and organization skills Ability to develop and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with business partners Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines, and reporting High degree of confidentiality Competencies Satisfactorily complete competency requirements for this position. Job Responsibilities Supports day-to-day operations developing a general understanding of all aspects of administrative functions including policies, procedures, and processes. Gains exposure to various business functions specific to business group. Gathers information and performs research. Assists with reports, letters, documents and other forms of communication. Observes processes and makes recommendations for improvements. Provides assistance with special projects, as needed. Performs other duties as assigned. Compensation Pay Rate $18.00 This position requires consent to drug and/or alcohol testing after a conditional offer of employment is made, as well as on-going compliance with the Drug-Free Workplace Policy.
