Project Accountant

An established engineering and manufacturing company serving the energy sector is seeking a Project Accountant to join its growing finance team. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to project accounting, cost tracking, financial reporting, and month end close activities while supporting a dynamic project driven business. Key Responsibilities Review and process vendor invoices in a timely and accurate manner Verify supporting documentation and resolve invoice discrepancies Assist with electronic payments, wire transfers, and check runs Reconcile vendor accounts and maintain accurate records Support vendor communications and issue resolution Project Cost Accounting Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance Assist with project setup and ongoing cost tracking Review labor, materials, subcontractor expenses, and indirect cost allocations Support project margin analysis and profitability reporting Work closely with project teams to ensure accurate financial data General Ledger & Financial Reporting Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with month end and year end close activities Support internal and external audit requests Analyze and resolve accounting variances Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects Qualifications 1 to 3 years of accounting, AP, cost accounting, or project accounting experience Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets Highly organized with excellent attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast paced environment Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred Base salary of $60,000 to $70,000 Career growth opportunities within a stable and expanding organization This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long term career in accounting while gaining hands on exposure to project financial management within a manufacturing and engineering environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr Morgan Benjamin Search Group
