RN Medicine Specialty - FS

Location: Oklahoma City, OK 73104 Duration: 15 weeks Shift/Schedule: Nights; 3 12-hour shifts/week, 36 hours/week

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients with simple to complex health conditions.
• Manage an assigned group of patients and deliver competent patient care.
• Document patient responses, nursing interventions, prescribed treatments, and changes in physician orders.
• Assist physicians with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments.
• Monitor patients' physiological data and intervene when necessary.
• Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products as prescribed.
• Communicate care plans and hospital procedures with patients and families.
• Make appropriate referrals based on patient care needs.
• Delegate tasks to support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of nursing experience.
• Med/Surg and Stepdown experience required.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Oklahoma RN license or current multistate compact RN license (eNLC).
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferences:

• BSN or higher from a board-approved nursing program preferred.
