CNC Lathe Machinist

salary: $60,000 - $85,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes and turning centers to manufacture precision components.

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T, and work instructions.

• Load programs, tooling, fixtures, and raw materials according to established procedures.

• Make offsets and appropriate tooling adjustments to maintain dimensional requirements.

• Perform in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, bore gauges, and optical measurement equipment.

• Identify and correct machining issues, including dimensional variation, tool wear, burrs, surface-finish problems, and other defects.

• Maintain accurate production and inspection records.

• Follow established work instructions, quality procedures, and documentation requirements.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

• Perform routine machine maintenance and communicate equipment issues to appropriate personnel.

• Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing personnel to resolve production and quality issues.

• Follow all applicable company procedures related to medical-device manufacturing, traceability, contamination control, and product quality.

• Participate in continuous-improvement activities focused on quality, productivity, safety, and process consistency.
