Manufacturing Process Engineer

Manufacturing Process Engineer II (Bilingual Korean required)\n\nTimpl has partnered up with a global tire manufacturing company and is looking\nfor a Manufacturing Process Engineer II.\n\n\n• Work with a "Safety Always" mindset through supporting and promoting\ncontinuous improvement of safety and health in the workplace\n• Perform all duties with a "Quality First" mindset through improvement of\nwork processes and procedures to eliminate and prevent defects\n• Maintain a "big picture" focus and understanding of the complete tire\nmanufacturing process\n• Establish good rapport and build working relationships and networks with\npeers, technicians and other employees to develop a strong network/ support base\n• Interact with and support Korean expatriates and dispatchers as a key\ncommunication resource\n• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with suppliers and\nother third parties\n• Remain current with professional practices and maintain a high awareness of\nnew products and procedures in the industry. Monitor trade publications and\nactively participate in professional organizations\n• Communicate information timely and clearly in both English and Korean\n• Support the designation of serial numbers for components, placement of\norders and record-keeping of purchases in SAP to ensure required inventory\nlevels\n• Create Consultation Forms accurately and timely with minimal assistance\n• Mentor assistant Engineers and lead proposal development, contract\ndocumentation and other activities as required\n• Execute a working pattern where all work activities and plans are "audit\nready"\n• Maintain a flexible personal work schedule as our facility is a 24/7\noperation to ensure necessary work is completed to meet required deadlines\nthrough taking ownership in your area of responsibility\n• Perform routine duties requiring application and knowledge of basic\nengineering principles\n• Prepare simple and routine plans, calculations and cost estimates by\nfollowing standard engineering practices and procedures\n• Interpret engineering specifications and solve routine problems by applying\ndefined procedures with proven precedent\n• Systematically identify causes of problems and identify possible solutions\nin a Plan - Do - Check - Act methodology\n• Research, learn, and drive introduction of enhanced maintenance techniques\n• Drive cooperation between operators and maintenance staff to support\nequipment up-time objectives\n• Engage in the implementation and improvement of Planned Maintenance\nactivities and schedules to reduce costs\n• Engage in the definition and application of efficient, sustainable cleaning,\ninspection, lubrication and re-tightening cycles (5S)\n• Engage in activities related to improving equipment uptime, e.g. MTBF, MTTR,\nthrough application of know-how and skills and using Fault Analysis tools\n• Engage in the restoration and maintenance of basic equipment conditions\nthrough analysis to stop deterioration\n• Engage in Value Stream Mapping activities to identify NVA and eliminate\nredundancy and waste\n• Perform additional duties as assigned by management\n\nManufacturing Engineer requirements are:\nEducation:\n• (Required) Bachelor's degree, field of science or learning major\n• (Preferred) Mechanical/Industrial Engineering major or advanced degree in a\nrelated field\n\nExperience:\n• (Required) 2+ years of proven engineering experience in the manufacturing\nindustry\n• (Preferred) Relevant experience preferred to include internships or Co-ops\n\nLanguage:\n• Good command of written and spoken English and Korean communication, both\nconversational and technical, are required to perform the essential functions of\nthe position\n\nPhysical Demands:\n• Must be able to frequently move about the manufacturing plant campus,\ngeneral office environments, production areas, and occasionally ascend/descend\nstairs\n• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time\n• Must be able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery\n• Must be able to position self to file documents including the top and bottom\ndrawers of file cabinets\n• Must be able to occasionally move office equipment and supplies weighing up\nto 50 pounds\n
