JOB SUMMARY : The Key Holder responds to tenant requests to lock and unlock the community room, pool, restrooms and other common area spaces when applicable; conducts basic building safety checks; and performs other observation duties as assigned by the Property Manager. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and, on rare occasions, move more than 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT : The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Be on call for emergency situations and refer to the appropriate resources such as the Property Manager, Maintenance Coordinator, Fire Department, Medic, Police, etc.
- Lock and unlock common areas, community rooms, and amenity areas on a scheduled basis.
- Report to the Property Manager any hazardous conditions at the development/ complex and other building problems.
- May leave the premises as needed provided the Property Manager is notified in advance.
- May perform light janitorial/porter duties as needed in public areas when other staff are not available.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Two years related experience in property management/training preferred
- or equivalent combination of education and experience.
