IT Asset and Inventory Datacenter Specialist- Santa Clara CA Onsite 5 Days week Key Responsibilities 1. Identification & Cataloging Identify, tag, and register all lab assets including: Signal generators Logic analyzers Servers and workstations DUTs (Devices Under Test) Storage systems and peripherals Perform asset inventory audits and reconciliation. Maintain accurate asset records in ServiceNow (SNOW), CMDB, and inventory databases. Apply RFID/barcode labeling and track asset lifecycle status. Ensure compliance with company asset management standards. 2. Installation & Setup Install and configure laboratory equipment and test benches. Perform rack-and-stack activities for servers, networking equipment, and test systems. Configure cabling, power distribution, and connectivity requirements. Support workstation deployment, imaging, and setup activities. Coordinate with engineers and vendors for equipment onboarding and commissioning. Validate equipment functionality before handing over to engineering teams. 3. Calibration & Maintenance Schedule and track equipment calibration activities. Coordinate with approved vendors for annual and periodic calibrations. Maintain calibration records and certificates. Conduct preventive maintenance activities to maximize equipment uptime. Perform health checks and routine inspections. Ensure compliance with quality and audit requirements. 4. Usage Tracking & Scheduling Manage laboratory equipment reservation and scheduling systems. Track utilization of critical test assets. Coordinate equipment allocation among engineering teams. Generate utilization and capacity reports. Support planning for future equipment procurement based on usage trends. Maintain equipment availability calendars. 5. Performance Monitoring Monitor operational health and status of lab equipment. Track performance metrics and equipment reliability indicators. Maintain dashboards and reports for lab operations. Ensure compliance with lab operational standards and SLAs. Support continuous improvement initiatives for lab efficiency. Diagnose hardware and software issues affecting lab equipment. Perform first-level troubleshooting and corrective actions. Coordinate warranty repairs, vendor support, and replacement activities. Escalate complex technical issues appropriately. Document incidents, root causes, and corrective actions. Maintain spare parts inventory and repair records. Required Qualifications 2–5 years of experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, or semiconductor labs. Experience with asset inventory and lifecycle management. Familiarity with ServiceNow (SNOW), CMDB, or similar asset management systems. Knowledge of rack-and-stack operations and cabling standards. Experience supporting Windows and Linux systems. Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills. #J-18808-Ljbffr
